Parker is acting director for The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis.

Parker Sheppard is acting director for The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis. His research focuses on computational macroeconomic modeling. He is responsible for building and maintaining the macroeconomic models that Heritage uses for dynamic policy analysis.

Prior the working at The Heritage Foundation, Sheppard was a research assistant with the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Sheppard holds a doctor of philosophy degree in economics from North Carolina State University. His dissertation studied the role of financial frictions in business cycle fluctuations. He also holds a master of science degree in mathematics and statistics from Georgetown University, and a bachelor of arts degree in both economics and politics from Washington and Lee University.
